1. Who we are
VideoToMP3 provides a browser-based tool for converting video files to MP3. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@videotomp3.online. VideoToMP3 is the service name used as the operator identity on this website.
2. Your video and audio files
The converter is designed to process selected files locally in your browser. Your source video and converted MP3 are not intentionally uploaded to or stored on VideoToMP3 servers. Closing the page or clearing the selection removes the website’s access to the browser file reference; downloaded output remains wherever you save it.
Browser and operating-system components may create temporary local copies while preparing a file. Those copies are controlled by your device and browser, not by VideoToMP3.
3. Information we may process
- Basic technical records: hosting and security systems may process IP address, requested URL, timestamps, browser/device information and error or security events.
- Anonymous usage counters: the site stores page views and site-entry counts only as daily totals for approved public page paths. It separately records converter actions, a general source-file extension, timestamps and, after a failure, a broad technical reason category. To distinguish a new entry from movement between our own pages, the browser checks only whether the previous page was on VideoToMP3; no referral URL is sent with the counter. These counters do not include file names, file contents, file sizes, raw converter logs, IP addresses, referral URLs or persistent visitor identifiers.
- Consent preference: the site stores your analytics/advertising choice in browser local storage.
- Messages: if you email us, we process your address, message and any information you choose to provide.
- Analytics and advertising data: if enabled with your consent, Google Analytics and Google advertising services may process identifiers, cookie or local-storage data, IP-derived location, device information, page activity, ad interactions and referral information.
4. Why we process information
We use necessary technical information to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the service. We rely on consent before enabling non-essential analytics or advertising technologies where consent is required. We may also process limited information for legitimate interests such as preventing abuse, maintaining security and understanding non-identifying service reliability, subject to applicable law.
5. Google services
VideoToMP3 plans to use Google Analytics and Google advertising products. When active, Google may receive information such as the page URL, IP address, device/browser information and cookie or advertising identifiers. Google may use that information to provide analytics, measure ads, prevent fraud and, where permitted by your choice and settings, personalize advertising. Non-essential Google services must not load through VideoToMP3 before the applicable consent signal is available.
6. Sharing and service providers
We may share limited information with hosting, security, diagnostics, analytics, advertising and professional service providers only as needed for their role. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or complete a business reorganization. We do not sell your source video or converted MP3.
7. Retention
Video and output files are not retained by our application servers. Anonymous page-view and site-entry figures are kept as daily page totals rather than individual browsing histories. Those totals, converter counters and technical records are retained only as long as reasonably useful for service operation, reliability and security. Correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain records or meet legal obligations. Analytics and advertising retention will follow the configured provider settings and applicable consent requirements.
8. International processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, transfers should use recognized safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; receive a portable copy; or appeal a decision. You may also have rights relating to targeted advertising, sale or sharing of personal information. Use the site’s Privacy choices control to reject non-essential technologies, or email us to make a request. We may need limited information to verify the request.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already completed before withdrawal. You may also complain to the privacy or data-protection authority where you live.
10. Children
VideoToMP3 is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Users who are minors where they live should use the service only with permission from a parent or guardian.
11. Security and changes
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no website or device is completely secure. We may update this policy when the service, providers or law changes. Material updates will be identified by a revised effective date.
